Mr. Hess leads Linea Energy’s legal function and advises on corporate governance, project development, financing, regulatory matters, compliance, M&A, and dispute resolution. He has 20 years of experience as an attorney, with a practice focused on sustainable energy and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Linea Energy, Mr. Hess held senior legal roles at Generate Capital, Bloom Energy, and SunEdison, where he advised executives, investment teams, sponsors, and other industry participants across multiple clean energy and infrastructure asset classes. His experience includes project development, project debt and tax equity financing, corporate transactions, regulatory matters, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hess practiced at Holland & Hart and Jones Day and worked at the California Public Utilities Commission. Mr. Hess holds a J.D. from NYU School of Law.
