Snapshot

The Duffy Solar Project is a 500MWac utility-scale solar facility located in Matagorda County, Texas within the ERCOT market. Construction will begin in October 2026, and the project is expected to reach commercial operations in August 2028. In its first year, the project will generate approximately 1,203,619 MWh of clean electricity - enough to power the equivalent needs of approximately 85,000 Texas homes annually - while creating approximately 500 construction jobs and delivering long-term clean energy to the Texas grid.

What's the project impact?

Pineview Solar will have a significant economic impact on the local community, with approximately $3 million in local property tax revenues over the next two decades. The project will also contribute to Georgia's clean energy goals and reduce the environmental impact of the state's energy supply.

Environmental Protection Initiatives

Native
Reseeding
We are reseeding with drought-tolerant native and naturalized grasses and wildflowers adapted to the local coastal prairie ecosystem.
Wildlife-Friendly
Fencing
Perimeter fencing is designed to let small mammals pass underneath, supporting wildlife movement across the landscape.
Wetland and Pond
Stewardship
We protect and enhance existing on-site aquatic habitats, applying water quality safety standards during construction.
Habitat
Replacement
Bird boxes, bat houses, and nest platforms offset habitat disturbance during construction, giving displaced species new places to shelter and breed.
Third-Party
Environmental Expertise
We have engaged ecological consultants to guide our restoration planning.
This GPS-guided robot marks the exact spot for every steel post that will hold up the solar panels. It plants a pink pin at each location, so the crews that follow know precisely where to drive the posts.
